Synopsis:

Biopotentials, stimulated and evoked, types, properties, recording, noise. Electroneurography, SNAP, M-wave, H-reflex, F-reflex. Muscle origin signals, EMG, MMG, tendon jerks.

Cardiac depolarization vector, electrodes, ECG electrode lead systems. ECG signal generation, ECG curve dependence upon alterations of cardiac depolarization vector. Vectorcardiography, isopotential mapping. Non-electrical cardiac signals (introduction). Phonocardiography, sphygmography, apexcardiography, MCG, polygraph methods.

EEG signals origin, electrode systems, EEG lead systems. Characteristic EEG rhythms, evoked EEG, MEG. Polysomnography. Signals in ophthalmology, origins, electroretinogram, EOG. Otic signals, origin, audiometry types, evoked signals, impedance audiometry, ERA, BERA. Nystagmography, biosignals in obstetrics, rheography methods. Biosignals of other organs and systems (gastrointestinal tract, cardiotocography, fetal ECG, etc.) Experimental methods in biosignal recording, biosignals derived from medical imaging systems (CT, EIT, etc.).

Requirements:

Teaching takes place in the form of self-study with regular consultations. In addition to the examination, a written study is required by the student on the subject.

1.Biopotentials, stimulated and evoked, types, properties, recording, noise.

2.Electroneurography, SNAP, M-wave, H-reflex, F-reflex.

3. Muscle origin signals, EMG, MMG, tendon jerks.

4.Cardiac depolarization vector, electrodes, ECG electrode lead systems.

5.ECG signal generation, ECG curve dependence upon alterations of cardiac depolarization vector.

Study Objective:

The aim of the subject is to give the students the complex information about biological signals of electric and non-electric origin: characteristics, genesis, processing and evaluation.
