Synopsis:

Mechanical engineering: Constructional study of milling machine / universal machining center. The aim of the task is performed the semi-constructional processing of the carrier machine structure, the design of linear guides and drives, the structural designing of the selected part of the machine.

Industry 4.0: Within project III, students will learn to work with so-called multifunctional hardware, which they can then use for a wide range of applications in the field of measurement, data acquisition and control. The MyRIO platform from the manufacturer National Instruments and the LabVIEW programming environment are mainly used. Students will learn to create programs running on a Windows computer, on a Real-Time operating system and on an FPGA. The application can be supplemented with a user interface and compiled to run on the given HW. As part of the project, students program and revive their own task.

Requirements:

Industry 4.0: Completion of the course requires previous basic knowledge of algorithmization of simple tasks (course Basics of Algorithmization and Programming, or similar).

The requirement for the credit is a submitted functional task, including documentation.

Syllabus of lectures:

Industry 4.0: Multifunction hardware; an overview of HW and SW from National Instruments; Project in LabVIEW environment; Introduction to the MyRIO platform; Programming in the LabVIEW environment; Creation of programs and subroutines; Variables; Working with inputs and outputs; Graphical user interface (GUI) design; Web server; Standalone applications;

Syllabus of tutorials:

Preparation of a simplified model of the machine.

The design calculation and dimensioning of the functional parts of the specified motion axis.

A semi-structural design of the motion mechanism.

Mechanical engineering: A detailed design drawing.

The static stiffness analysis.

The report including calculations and the solution proces.

Industry 4.0: Solving sample problems in relation to the subject matter.

Space for solving individual work and individual consultations.

Processing documentation of your own task

Study Objective:
