Synopsis:

In this course will be applied focus on the following issues: operation and documentation of the results of imaging methods, the relationship between imaging methods and systems to the HIS, basic concepts and methods in various fields of diagnostic imaging, basic imaging systems from the perspective of interpretation and description of images, from the field of diagnostic imaging practice (radiology, ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, endoscopy, PET, SPECT).

Requirements:

Graded credit includes requirement for both, i.e. for presence in all parts of the practical tasks and successful completion of the test assessed according to the ECTS grading scale. The selected topics are available on the web site of the course and there is required to repeat the knowledge and understanding of Physics II., Medical equipment and systems, as well as Imaging systems. 2. Relationship of the imaging methods and systems to HIS

3. Basic concepts and methods in various fields of diagnostic imaging

4. Basics of imaging systems from the perspective of interpretation and description of images

5. Principles of diagnostic imaging (radiology)

6. Principles of diagnostic imaging (ultrasonography)

7. Principles of diagnostic imaging (magnetic resonance imaging I.)

8. Principles of diagnostic imaging (magnetic resonance imaging II.)

9. Principles of diagnostic imaging (magnetic resonance imaging III).

10. Principles of diagnostic imaging (nuclear medicine)

11. Principles of diagnostic imaging (endoscopy)

12. Principles of diagnostic imaging (SPECT)

13. Principles of diagnostic imaging (PET)

14. Summary, overview of thematic blocks for classified (graded) assessment

Study Objective:

The main objective of the course is to provide students with additional knowledge, skills, habits, experience and ideas, especially in relation and in context with that ones obtained in specialized courses and during the professional practice within clinical environment (practice) in hospital.
