Synopsis:

Focusing on the practical and authentic speaking, listening and presentation activities, the aim of the course is to systematically develop and consolidate the students´ language skills and presentation and communication strategies in English. The course is aimed at intermediate and upper-intermediate level.

5. Speech: language and communication „contract“

6. Speech: the power of a story

7. Power point and other tools

8. Listening, exploring, assembling

11. Interaction

12. Avoiding common mistakes

13. Revision and final practice

Syllabus of tutorials:
Study Objective:

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

. choose and apply suitable language tools (in terms of grammar, lexis and functional language) with respect to the given context

. express ideas, attitudes and opinions

. describe and present facts and figures

. adequately respond to questions and present their own voice

. structure their spoken address effectively by using appropriate verbal and nonverbal tools
