Synopsis:

Aims of the course:

Familiarization with the theory of power cycles and spectrum of both conceptual variants and practical realizations for the needs of efficient energy conversions.

Content of the course:

Power cycles as a basis of conversion chain from primary energy to final energy and factors that limit and conceptually form those (power cycles).

Basic topics of the course:

Theory of thermal cycles in power generation. Working fluid and its influence on the conceptual design of the cycle. Power cycles specifics for the utilization of primary and secondary energy sources. Design and optimization of the power cycles? parameters in relation to the application. Exergetic evaluation of power cycles.
