Synopsis:

Students will be introduced to general social psychological concepts. Those are especially dealing with social behavior and social acts, interpersonal relationships, small groups and mass psychological phenomena and processes. The theoretical ground is connected with practical examples, especially concerning team work and both closer and wider interpersonal network.

Requirements:

1. Writing a seminar work on a given theme, 5 pages

Social psychology and its relation to other sciences, methods of social psychology

Socialization, social learning, imitation and identification

Social perception and social cognition

Social motivation

Attitudes, stereotypes and prejudice

Prosocial behavior and aggression

Conflicts and their solving

Structure and dynamics of a small group

Mass behavior - psychology of a crowd and deindividuation

Personality, self-concept and identity

Study Objective:
