Syllabus of lectures:

Water in the atmosphere.

Radiation balance.

Transport processes in the surface layer of the atmosphere.

Determination of evaporation intensity.

Snowmelt.

Subsurface water.

Infiltration.

Soil-plant-atmosphere continuum.

Catchment runoff generation.

Rainfall-runoff modeling.

Evaporation, potential transpiration, snowmelt

Soil water, infiltration, effective precipitation

Hillslope runoff, kinematic wave, linear reservoir

Unit hydrograph

Frequency analysis of extreme precipitation and flood flows

Study Objective:

The course emphasizes the quantitative description of hydrological processes using mathematical and physical approaches. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to use the knowledge gained to solve more advanced hydrological problems requiring the application of numerical models.
