Synopsis:

The course focuses on the description of failures of concrete structures, explanation of the causes of these failures and the design of remedial measures. Methods of strengthening existing concrete structures are also discussed. Surface repairs, strengthening of contactors, strengthening of structural elements to the effects of bending moment and shear, and foundation structures are discussed. The course appropriately combines theoretical approaches with common practice.

4/ Repair of concrete surfaces - theoretical explanation of causes and methods of implementation

5/ Reinforcement for bending moment effects - practical examples

6/ Reinforcement for bending moment effects - static design and methods of implementation

7/ Reinforcement for shear force effects - practical examples

8/ Reinforcement for shear force effects - static design and methods of implementation

9/ Reinforcement of contactors - practical examples

10/ Reinforcement of contact members - static design and methods of implementation

11/ Reinforcement of foundation structures - practical examples

12/ Reinforcement of foundation structures - static design and methods of implementation

13/ Options for accelerating construction and rehabilitation work
