Synopsis:

The safety of work on the construction site is key in the conditions of the modern construction industry and precisely in relation to our integration into EU structures. Within this subject, students are introduced to the application of OSH for a specific industry, namely the construction industry, to the obligations of employers and employees, to the performance of state professional supervision, to the issue of occupational accidents (processes of their registration, investigation and compensation), to the creation of a safe workplace, categorization of work , occupational medical care, occupational risks (obligations of the employer, identification and assessment of risks, measures to minimize them), with personal protective work equipment. Furthermore, they are familiarized with the basic requirements for health and safety during the implementation of construction activities, with the performance of the health and safety coordinator during the preparation and implementation of constructions, health and safety during the use and operation of construction machinery, technical equipment and dedicated technical equipment, with risks associated with construction activities, with fire risks during implementation buildings, with the application of OSH in the design of buildings and the design of their implementation, with transport on the construction site, OSH training.

Requirements:

Submitting the seminar paper and meeting sufficient attendance. Successful completion of the exam test and the oral part of the exam.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction to OSH in the construction industry in the EU and the Czech Republic

2. Legal regulations, implementing decrees and regulations in the field of health and safety

3. Obligations of the employer and employees, state professional supervision, occupational accidents

4. Safe workplace and necessary working conditions

5. Occupational risks, employer's obligations and personal protective equipment

6. Basic requirements for health and safety when carrying out construction activities

7. Health and safety in the preparation and implementation of constructions and minimum requirements for health and safety in the construction industry

8. Health and safety plans and the performance of the health and safety coordinator at the construction site in the preparation and implementation of constructions

9. Work at height and above free depth and work with an increased risk of endangering life

10. Identification of non-conformities in OSH in the construction industry

11. Health and safety during the use and operation of construction machinery and small mechanization

12. OSH of technical equipment and dedicated technical equipment, equipment and transport on the construction site, OSH training on the construction site

13. Identification and description of security risks and measures to minimize or eliminate them

Study Objective:

To acquaint students with health and safety regulations in a construction project, from design work through implementation to maintenance during construction use.
