Synopsis:

Seminary cover themes and practising in Autodesk Revit: using parametric elements, design the 3D model from building elements, creating toposurface, generating 2D constructing documents according to standard/norm, drafting 2D additional, scheduling and annotating. For architectural students additional themes: creating conceptual design, modelling unconventional forms, rendering.

Seminary bring understanding of different type of parameters in Revit, how to set them, how to constraint in 3D model and how to solve problem with constraints. Seminary explains creating and using user defined elements: family, component on place, adaptive component, massing for conceptual design. The main advantage of BIM is redesign/rebuil the model - change it anywhere, software do it everywhere: in model, document, annotation or title block. That advantage may be use for analysis and simulation, for Options/variants in design.

1. Revit interface - basic introduction, Parametric modeling - principles (graphic and non graphic properties of elements)

2. Project browser - views, levels, wall and column - structural and architectural, using grids,

3. type and instance properties, compound wall, wall profile

4. Components, doors and windows, families - basic information

5. Floors and ceillings, openings in vertical elements

6. Stairs and ramp

7. Mass in site - modelling of conceptual mass, wall by face, roof by face, Curtain walls - elements, curtain grid systems,

8. Roofs - by foot print, by extrusion

9. Annotations - text, dimensions, details, rooms, shedules

10.sheets - project documentation, export from Revit - PDF, DWG...

11.Modelling of terrain

12. Sun analysis, walkthrough - export AVI, rendering

13 IFC export - basic information
