Synopsis:

The course provides an overview of the methods of securing the heat demand for housing and communal sector with emphasis on combined production of electricity and heat. They discussed the basic types of energy sources and their potential application. Attention is also paid to the issue of the design and operation of heating systems.

2 Heat supply total heat consumption, diagrams, losses

3 Heating plants, types of boilers for heating plants

4 Steam heating and power plants, types of boilers and turbines for heating and power plants, heating plant factor, reliability heating and power plants

5 Heating and power plants with gas turbines and gas internal combustion engines

6 Sources of fuel cells and heat pumps

7 Divorce heat, heat pipe network, the choice of the heating fluid, pressurized hot water network diagram

8 Sizing pipe diameter

9 Calculation of heat losses of primary heat distribution

10 Thermal expansion of pipes, joints, strength sizing storage

11 Substations, ways to connect customers to the heating

12 Regulation of Traffic heating systems

13 Prospects for cogeneration of electricity and heat
