Special Aerospace Technologies

The learning deals with advanced manufacturing technologies of aircraft and space structures applied in Czech Republic and abroad. It is supplied by practises and specialized excursions.
- Syllabus of lectures:
1.Heat treatment of non-ferrous metals, measuring of hardness.
2.Planning of aircraft production engineering.
3.Testing of aerospace structures.
4.Aircraft riveted structures, mechanization and automation.
5.Sandwich structures with honeycomb and foam core.
6.Point, seam, friction and laser beam welding of aircraft structures.
7.Bonding of metallic and composite structures. Structural adhesives.
8.Thermoplastics in aircraft interiors. Fire, smoke, toxicity.
9.Application of glass and transparent thermoplastics for canopies and cabin interiors.
10.Machining of composite aircraft and space structures.
11.Composite materials, design principles, stacking sequences, certification.
12.Design solution and manufacturing technology of composite parts in general aviation.
13.Design solution and manufacturing technology of composite parts in large transport aeroplanes and space structures.

- Study Objective:
To acquaint with advanced manufacturing technologies and processes of aircraft and space structures applied in Czech Republic and abroad and with their relations to design, analyses and certification of aircraft structures.
