Synopsis:

The course is an introduction to the basics of science - from the organization side of scientific activities in the Czech Republic and abroad, through organizational grant agencies. In addition methods of acquiring information through literature, Internet and other resources is examined - how to handle literature searches, how to proceed processing tasks, how to critically evaluate the results, as processes, as presentations (oral communication in lectures, seminars, poster communication, written presentations). Students learn in detail how to present the results of their scientific theories.

Requirements:

Researching a given topic using sources of information from the Internet, followed presentations in both written and oral form.

Syllabus of lectures:

Science and its structure, the nature of scientific work and its objectives

Basic concepts (hypothesis, laws, theories, models)

Create a portfolio of information, finding information through informational technology

Principles of experimentation in medicine, the measurement process and its evaluation

Applying sociological and psychological research

Building a project, the structure of research

Defense research reports

Drafting scientific work, structure of scientific communication, processing inventory

Creation of a research project portfolio

Searching on the Internet, library catalogs, and bibliographic systems.
