Synopsis:

The course consists of theoretical and practical basis for providing emergency medical care of nursing as a rescuer in the prehospital and hospital care for all age groups. The course is laid special emphasis on performance and actions aimed at saving lives and other priority processes. The course also introduces the work and organizational principles of emergency care not only of individual patients, but the bulk of the wounded, sick or affected.

Requirements:

Subject knowledge of nursing practice in emergency care. Active participation in seminars, including homework.

Two absences are permitted; leading seminars determine how compensation exercise. Larger absence can be excused only for serious and documented reasons and agree with the Head of seminars form of compensation.

A condition for granting credit is a written test demonstrating knowledge. Test evaluation, according to the ECTS grading scale. If successfully passing the test the student may get 90 to 100 points, which corresponds to A. The tester evaluation result is less than 50 points is assessed as unsatisfactory.

Syllabus of lectures:

Nursing in general surgery.

Nursing in a special surgery.

Nursing in surgical medicine - treating patients with surgical

chest disease.

Nursing in surgical medicine - treating patients with surgical abdominal disease.

Nursing in surgical medicine - treating patients with surgical abdominal disease.

Nursing in surgical medicine - treating patients with surgical treatment of diseases of blood vessels.

Nursing in surgical medicine - treating patients with urological problems.

Nursing in trauma, with a focus on treating sick patients with

disorders of consciousness and intracranial hypertension.

Nursing in specialized medicine: the thermal damage and cold damage. Transplantology.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Treating patients in local and general anesthesia.

Treating patients in the perioperative period, treating patients in critical condition due to major blood loss.

Treatment of patients with thoracic surgical disease.

Treatment of patients with surgical abdominal disease.

Treatment of patients with surgical abdominal disease.

Treatment of patients with surgical treatment of diseases of blood vessels.

Treatment of patients with urological problems.

Treatment of patients with disorders of consciousness and intracranial hypertension.

Nursing in specialized medicine: the thermal damage and cold damage.

Nursing care of potential organ donor.

Study Objective:

To acquaint students with the provision of emergency medical care of nursing as a rescuer in the prehospital and hospital care for all age groups. The course is laid special emphasis on performance and actions aimed at saving lives and other priority processes.

In another part of the course, students are familiar with the labor and organizational principles of emergency care not only of individual patients, but also the bulk of the wounded, sick or affected.
