Synopsis:

Tele-medical applications - WHO definition, history of telemedicine, relations to development of ICT.

Health care organization. Communication in health care. Electronic health record as a basis for telemedicine, hospital information systems, legal issues. Information technology as support of shared and distributed health care. Data security and standardization in health care. Image information processing. Networks and Internet in health care.

Requirements:

Presence in seminars, submission of individual projects, passing written tests, examination

9. Legal issues linked with ICT utilization in health care

10. IT for support of shared and distributed care

13. Mobile health care applications, systems of home care

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to introduce to students principles and examples of solutions of eHealth and telemedical systems and related topics, including legal, organization issues and standards.
