Department of Dosimetry and Application of Ionizing Radiation
Synopsis:

Aim of this subject is to extend students skills of measuring of dosimetric quantities and characteristics of ionizing radiation fields and to get acquainted with new methods of measured data evaluation. Important part of the subject is neutron detection and spectrometry, which importance has grown recently because of wider usage of neutrons, developement of nuclear energetics and also a progress toward nuclear fusion. Also, etalons and calibration of dosimetric measuring devices is important field of dosimetry. It is so, because requirements in radiation protection are rising continuously. This subject is intended for student with deep knowledge in the field of ionizing radiation measurement. It is necessary to absolve lectures and practical excersises given in years before. For every excersise four hours are available. During the semester, students must elaborate measurement protocols.
