Determination of discharge from known water level course, flow division. Outflow bellow sluice gate. Overflow, sharp-crested weirs, spillways, broad-crested weir, lateral discharge structures, shaft spillway. Bottom drop. Creation of hydraulic jump, kinds and characteristics of hydraulic jump, energy dissipation, stilling basin design. Crossing of watercourse and road, flow through bridges and culverts.
