- Department of Steel and Timber Structures
Design of load-bearing steel, steel-concrete composite or timber structure. The student should be able to assert analytical approach to design of load bearing structural elements and connections independently at intermediate level including drawing documentation. The project is an individual work of the student with ance a week consultation with supervisor.
- Syllabus of lectures:
Design of load bearing structure of multistorey and large-span building in given external conditions. Analysis and optimization of load bearing structure as space effecting complex in interaction with final completion elements. Verification of designed solution and ability of structural elements to perform their functions by calculation. Analysis of interaction between load bearing and completion elements. Design of important details.
