Synopsis:

Ecological risks in urban drainage in relation to the sewer system and urban streams. Pollution in urban catchment - its origin and characteristics, main processes and key pollutants. Pollution transport and transformation in the sewer system. Impacts of released waste waters on urban streams. Microbiological and biological assessment of streams. Methods of ecological risk assessment - analyses of effects and expositions.

Ecological risks in urban drainage in relation to the sewer system and urban streams. Pollution in urban catchment - its origin and characteristics, main processes and key pollutants. Pollution transport and transformation in the sewer system. Impacts of released waste waters on urban streams.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Microbiological and biological assessment of streams. Methods of ecological risk assessment - analyses of effects and expositions.

Study Objective:

To learn ecological principles of urban drainage, toxic substances in urban catchments, relevant processes, ecological risks assessment and ecological assessment of urban streams.
