Synopsis:

The basic subject for student of master´s degree. The expansion of knowledge in the field of fire safety of buildings and structures. The course deals with fire protection of electrical wiring.

In the second part of the semester problems fixed firefighting systems for different media types, fire alarm, fire ventilation.

Syllabus of lectures:

1) Basic concepts of electrical wiring, materials, fire safety, legislation.

2) The Charakteristics of the electrical equipment in the environment without the danger of fire, danger of fire or explosion of explosives.

3) Electrical wiring - laboratory.

4) Fixed firefighting systems - Components for sprinkler systems.

5) Fixed firefighting systems - Components for water spray and fog systems.

6) Fixed firefighting systems - Components for foam, gas systems and other media.

7) Excursion to the sprinkler station.

8) Fire ventilation - ventilation of protected escape routes.

9) Fire ventilation of garages, boiler rooms, smoke and heat removal.

10) Charakcteristics of the device fire alarm system ( EPS ), used detectors.

11) Electrical wiring - new satandards, high temperature protection.

12 Professional excursion - laboratory.

Study Objective:

The student will be acquainted with the detailed issues fire electrical equipment, fixed firefighting systems and fire ventilation.

The student is acquainted with alarm systém ( EPS ) and smoke and heat removal.
