Synopsis:

Introduce to biomechanics, Biomaterials, rheological models, Mechanic characteristic of bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles and cartilages, Endoprothesis and exoprotesis,

Biomechanics of movement, gait mechanics, Kinematics and dynamics in biomechanics, Mechanical work an power of body, Stress and deformation, Finite element method. Intelligent prostheses.

Requirements:

Credit condition - 70% presence, laboratory works and submit reports from laboratory works. Take the final exam and receive an mark A-F. The minimum to pass the exam is fifty percent of the six questions.

The questions in the test are from the following areas:

Introduce to biomechanics, Biomaterials, rheological models, Mechanic characteristic of bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles and cartilages, Endoprothesis and exoprotesis, Biomechanics of movement, gait mechanics, Kinematics and dynamics in biomechanics,

Mechanical work an power of body, Stress and deformation, Intelligent prostheses.

1. Introduce to biomechanics

Syllabus of tutorials:

1) Determination of the force and strength of muscles of the upper limb (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

2) Determining the force and strength muscles of the lower limbs (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

3) Study of middle ear function (classroom A-114) [3, 4]

4) Basic rheological models (classroom A-114) [1, 4]

5) Measurement of instantaneous eye position, head and body position in neurology (classroom A-114) [2, 3]

6) Forces in spine and intervertebral discs (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

7) Measurement of torque in biomechanics (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

8) Measuring motion using cameras and inertial system (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

9) Measurement of forces under the soles on the force plate (classroom A-114) [1, 3, 4]

10) Measurement of the kinematics and dynamics of motion people in space using ultrasonic radar (classroom A-114) [3, 4]

11) Measurement of kinematics and dynamics of limb movement with accelerometers (classroom A-114) [4]

12) Determination of the center of gravity by stabilometric platform (classroom A-114) [4]

13) Measurement of the load of leg prosthesis by strain gauge system (classroom A-114) [4]

14) Analysis of movements and degrees of freedom of robotic arm and upper limbs (classroom A-114) [4]
