Synopsis:

Concept of a differential equation of the first order and some methods of its solution. Differential equations of the n-th order, linear diferential equations. Initial and boundary conditions for ordinary linear differential equation of the second order. Systems of linear differential equations. Difference equations, linear difference equations and their systems.

Requirements:

differential and intergal calculus of the function of more real variables, equations of motion, conservation laws, linear algebra, power series

Study Objective:

Basic concepts from the theory of ordinary differential equations, difference equations and their systems and methods of their solution. Emphasis on linear differential and difference equations, paricularly on systems and equations with constant coefficients.
