Synopsis:

Special surface treatment technology , advanced technology trends. Measurement of process parameters in surface technology , computer technology in the management and control of surface treatment . Special surface preparation , combined pretreatment , pretreatment quality control . Conversion layer , in-process protection, anodic oxidation. Testing and quality control of surface treatments. Ways of creating functional coatings , verification of performance . Finishes to heat and abrasion, special skid coatings . Abrasion resistance , tribological properties. Galvanic alloy and composite coatings. Thermally sprayed coatings and their composition. Hot-dip coated in molten metals. Electroforming , the excretion of heavy coatings. Molds for engineering technology methods of surface treatment. Finishes in electrical engineering and electronics. Surface finishing machine tools. Coatings with nanoparticles . Disposal of waste water and environmental issues . Techno-economic indicators finishes.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction to special surface treatment technologies, advanced technology trends.

2. Pretreatment with regard to new technologies finishes, in-process protection.

3. Alloy and composite coatings.

4. Thick galvanic coatings.

5. Surface finishing of machine tools and in electrical engineering.

6. Ecological aspects of surface treatment technologies including pre-treatment.

7. Techno-economic indicators of finishes.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Introduction to special surface treatment technologies, advanced technology trends.

2. Pretreatment with regard to new technologies finishes, in-process protection.

4. Thick galvanic coatings.

5. Surface finishing of machine tools and in electrical engineering.

6. Ecological aspects of surface treatment technologies including pre-treatment.

7. Techno-economic indicators of finishes.

Study Objective:

Introduction to the special surface technologies in theoretical and practical. Individual activity in the design of surface treatment technology in the seminar work.

Study materials:

1. The principles of protection of finishes , performance coatings , semestral work

2. Special surface preparation , combined pretreatment, pretreatment quality control - practical

3. Conversion layer (alkaline blackening, phosphating), Corrosion inhibitors - practical

4. Anodic oxidation (hard anodising , decorative anodising) - practical

5. Selected electroplating technology - the practical

6. Electroforming - practical

7. Thermal spraying ( metallization) - practical

8. Composite and functional coatings, specialty coatings sliding , control tribological properties - practical

9. Coatings with nanoparticles - practical

10. Disposal of waste water neutralization plant - practical

11. Quality control in surface treatment , environmental testing - practical

12. Media promotion of SGM for selected technologies of finishes ( or excursions)

13. Presentation of semester work

14. The final exercise , a summary of studies, laboratory exercises control
