Synopsis:

Mathematical foundations of elasticity. Plane strain and plane stress. Plate theory, shell wall theory, axially symmetric analysis. Numerical models for 2D elasticity (finite difference method). Shell theory, membrane shell theory, axially symmetric shells, bending theory. Methods for solving structures on elastic foundations, Winkler and Pasternak models for elastic foundations. Structure-soil interaction. Introduction to non-linearities.

Study Objective:

Essumption of design methods of static indeterminate bar shaped constructions, introducing into theory of mathematical elasticity and planar problems in theory of elasticity - calculation of plates and walls. Adoption of the basic knowledge for design and calculation of concrete, steel and wooden structures. Individual design of simple structure.
