Synopsis:

Basic technologies of semifinished products production,

special technologies of alloying, forming work, welding and

thermal parting. Basic information on production, finishing

and unconventional methods of machining work. Programming,

CAD/CAM systems.

Requirements:

Active participation in seminars. Timely submission of properly prepared labs.

Syllabus of lectures:

Foundry properties of metals. Treatment. Pouring. Casting solidification. Moulding and core making. Thermal treatment. Plastic deformation. Division of forming processes. Semi-products, heating-up. Cutting. Cold and hot forming. Welds. Weldability. Weldment testing. Thermal cutting. Brasing. Surface treatment. Plastics and powder processing

Automatization production workpiece

Cutting tools - material, cutting geometry, sharpening.

Spec. technology - shaving, finishing cut method, production thread and tooth system

Study Objective:

The goal of the course is to develop basic knowledge in th efield of casting, forming work, welding, machining and surface control.
