The seminar offers a different perspective on areas of mathematics traditionally included in
curricula, as well as areas that are not part of the basic mathematics course.
- Requirements:

Prerequisites: Knowledge of linear algebra and mathematical analysis at the level of the first year of bachelor's studies at FJFI is assumed.
Assessment requirements: active participation (no more than two absences), a short presentation on a chosen mathematical topic

Some of the lectures will be given by visiting KM collaborators, while others will be covered by students' contributions. The syllabus may therefore vary from year to year.

The subject is a seminar.
This seminar provides a different approach to those fields of mathematics that are included in curriculum but also to those that are not part of basic courses of mathematics.

Overview in modern trends in mathematics.
Skills:
While working on simpler problems or researching a chosen topic, students will learn the basics of scientific work and then practice their presentation skills.

Presentations by individual lecturers are published on the course website; additional study literature is assigned to students individually according to the topic chosen for independent homework.
