Synopsis:

There is currently no specialist in the CR field of study that would provide comprehensive training in respiratory therapy, which includes a qualified assessment of the patient, care and treatment of artificial ventilation in cardiorespiratory failure system states with depression or pharmacological inhibition of neuromuscular transmission.

Requirements:

Knowledge of anatomy, physics, physiology, biochemistry, pathophysiology and pharmacology.

Syllabus of lectures:

Deepening knowledge of the anatomy of the respiratory and circulatory system.

Special physiology of breathing: ventilatory mechanics, lung volumes, pulmonary circulation, gas exchange, regulation of ventilation.

Blood gases, acid-base balance.

Respiratory failure, pathophysiology, impaired ventilation, distribution of ventilation, diffusion, perfusion, ventilation-perfusion, changes in FRC, compliance, resistance, lung water.

Techniques for airway management.

Tracheal intubation, tracheal intubation technique, indications, complications.

Koniopunkce, koniotomie, tracheotomy, tracheotomy techniques, complications.

Care of tracheotomy, the exchange cannula, monitoring of cuff pressures in obturation, removal od cannula, complications, long cannula.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The basic physical quantities, the physics of gases, gas mixtures, partial pressures, Dalton's Law, state variables and equations. The phenomena of gas in contact with liquid, the solubility of gases in liquids, evaporation materials.

Investigation of blood gases and acid-base balance, sampling methods, evaluation.

Respiratory insufficiency - partial and global acid-base balance disorders, classification, evaluation, Sigard-Andersen nomogram.

Airway management, indications, choice optimization, algorithms difficult to maintain patency of DC, a non ventilate / non intubation.

Tracheotomy, techniques, preparation for tracheotomy, intraoperative complications, postoperative cannula replacement, decantation.

Drugs affecting the peripheral nervous system (autonomic, somatomotor, somatosenzitivní).

CNS-active substances (sedatives, hypnotics, general anesthetics, opioids

Study Objective:

The students know: the principles of effective diagnosis, care and treatment of patients with discarded / alterovanými basic life functions, the basic and extended cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and education of patients, with the design principles of the fan / anesthesia equipment, procedures for testing troubleshooting and repair of equipment, medical records management.
