Synopsis:

Overview of transport models for micro-simulation. Application working environment. Vehicles movement within system. Creation and simulation of microsopic traffic model. Output characteristics evaluation. 4D transport model visualization. Comparison with static model. Principles, elements, and construction of supply and demand models. Stochastic gravitational model. History, trends, and practise exercise.

Requirements:

traffic surveying and measuring, traffic demands quantificating, principle of intersection capacity calculation, traffic flow models, spreadsheet programs, basics of transportation engineering

Study Objective:

Acquirement of knowledge from the following fields: creation of microscopic traffic models and multimodal traffic flows simulation. Realtions between macroscopic transport supply and demand and application on trivial network models. Orientation in distinguishing levels from micro- to macroscopic traffic models spectre.
