Synopsis:

The subject describes basic physical, electronic as well as optoelectronic behaviours using in sensors and microsensors, static and dynamic parameters, improvement of parameters, sensor data processing, intelligent sensors, applications of basic principles in sensors (temperature, pressure, optoelectronic and fibre optic, radiation, chemical, mechanical, level, flow, ultrasound, etc.). There are showed principles and applications of MEMS and microsystems in the subject. Principles are demonstrated on actual sensor datasheets and applications.

3. Piezo-resistive effect - strain gauges, Piezo-resistive pressure sensors

4. Capacity - Capacitive sensors, capacitive pressure sensors

5. Piezoelectric effect - the principle of piezoelectric sensors, piezoelectric pressure sensors

6. Hall effect, magnetoresistive effect - sensors magnetic variables

7. Temperature dependence of the PN junction, the resistance of metal and semiconductors, thermoelectric effect, the temperature dependence of the MOS structure - temperature sensors

8. Pyroelectric effect, photovoltaic effect - sensors (UV, IR, visible, and nuclear)

9. Induktanční, inductive, magnetic principles, magnetostrictive effect - the magnetic sensor circuit (inductance)

10.Flow sensors, level

11.The sensors of chemical and biochemical variables
