The subject makes familiar with selected parts of the digital signal processing in communication. The digital image processing is emphasized.

1. Digital signal processing in communication

2. Digitization of image signals

3. Representation of images

4. Architecture of DSP, blocks, registers

5. Architecture VLIW, instruction set

6. Design tools, Code Composer Studio, assembler, linear assembler, C

7. Code optimization, Intrinsics, CPU and EDMA, interrupts, cache

8. Transformations DCT, KLT, DWT

9. Advanced design of FIR filters

10. Design of 2-D and m-D FIR filters

11. Image filtering, filtering of sequences, adaptive filtering

12. Image compression

13. Video compression

14. Advanced implementation of DSP algorithms

Study Objective:

Students learn advanced methods in the digital filter design and implementation of selected algorithms using digital signal processors.
