Avalanche photodiode, physical principles, properties. Photo-resistors, physical principles, properties. Thermal energy conversion detectors. Bolometers, thermocouples. Pyroelectric detectors. Some other detector types. Optical receivers, design principles, properties, noise. Solar cells, properties. Measurement methods, applications.
