Synopsis:

The subject is targeted to the utilization of the management processes and methods in the company practice. Provides essential theoretical way outs and methodological processes for company manager. Developing knowledge of principles of the project management and methods of strategic management (SWOT analysis, analysis of internal surroundings and external environment, generic strategies, Bowman strategic clock).

Requirements:

Seminar credit requirements: attendance, presentation, active participation, elaboration of examples during exercises and handover to lecturer, effectual encompass running check tests and final inclusion test.

Final inclusion test knowledge from the following headings:

1. Essential concepts. Enterprise position of manager, managerial access into enterprising, managers' presumptions, managerial ethics.

2. Organizational-legal form of enterprises and its changes.

3. Functions of management, methods of company internal and external analysis.

4. SWOT analysis, Porter's model, generic strategies, Bowman strategic clock.

5. Project management, project characteristics, specifics of project management, project management methods.

6. Strategic management - essential concepts, analysis of internal surroundings and external (general and branch) environment of company.

7. Social acceptance, scenarios in strategic management.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Essential concepts, enterprise position of manager, managerial access into enterprising, managers' presumptions, managerial ethics.

2. Methods and processes for utilization in managerial practice, functions of management, decision making rationality.

3. Project management, project characteristics, specifics of project management, project management methods.

4. Strategic management - essential concepts, analysis of internal surroundings and external (general and branch) environment of company.

5. SWOT analysis, Porter's model, generic strategies, Bowman strategic clock.

6. Social acceptance in company practice.

7. Applying of scenarios for strategic management.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Opening test, organizational-legal form of enterprises and its changes.

2. Check test No 1, assertivity test.

3. Setting of projects, SWOT analysis - case studies.

4. Presentation of projects.

5. Check test No 2, net analysis in planning.

Study Objective:

The subject is targeted to the student's preparation for their managerial utilization of fundamental instruments of managerial knowledge in practice.
