Synopsis:

Product life cycle management represents an approach subsidising sustainable development and the most efficient usage of limited resources. Subject is primarily focused on cost issues of product life cycle management. The main objective of the subject is to familiarize the students with approaches and methods of quantification, analysis, and optimisation of product life cycle cost. The emphasis is placed especially on the assigning cost structure of product life cycle cost, the relation among cost items, the methods of product life cycle costing, and the optimisation of the product value in relation to resources investments.

Requirements:

Teaching proceeds in the form of regular consultations. The exam requirements are specified by curriculum of the subject.

Syllabus of lectures:

Quantification, analysis, and optimisation of product life cycle cost. Assigning cost structure of product life cycle cost. Relation among life cycle cost items. Methods of product life cycle costing. Product value optimisation in relation to resources investments.

Study Objective:

Get to know students with cost issues of product life cycle management.
