Synopsis:

An overview on advanced steam and combined cycle power plants is introduced together with special topics on advanced steam and gas turbines and related material problems.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge on Steam and Gas Turbines and Thermal Power Plant Cycles from MS studies.

Syllabus of lectures:

Measures for thermal efficiency improvement of a steam and gas thermal power plant cycles, supercritical steam power plants, advanced steam turbines for supercritical inlet steam parameters, material problems, combined cycle power plants, wet gas turbine cycles, components of advanced gas turbines.
