Synopsis:

Formulation of governing equations of fluid dynamics. An introduction to the turbulence modelling. Fundamentals of numerical solution of incompressible viscous fluid flow. Practical applications using commercial software.

Requirements:

numerical simulation of a simple 2D problems using commercial CFD program, understanding of basic principles of the numerical modelling of the incompressible viscous fluid flow

Syllabus of lectures:

Explanation of basic principles of the numerical solution of the fluid flow problems.

Syllabus of tutorials:

work with commercial CFD program, numerical simulation of a few simple 2D problems from internal and external aerodynamics
