Synopsis:

Axi-symmetric and rectangular plates, thin shells. Analytic and approximate solution.

Requirements:

Elementar courses of mechanics, elasticity and strength of materials, Mathematics-analysis.

Syllabus of lectures:

Plates models, Kirchhoff circular plates. Geometrically nonlinear axi-symmetric thin plates. Solution of rectangular plates.

Computational shell models. General theory of thin shells.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Introduction to other solutions of plates and shells.
