Synopsis:

Objective of the course concerns on presenting the use of current and classical methods, methodologies, procedures and other tools in practical management of the advanced industry enterprise and in the area of the company control (company management) project making. To provide the information about the practical benefits and problems which are connected with the application of recent approaches to the company management and with the implementa-tion of advanced tools supporting company control. The integrated aspects of presented tools should be emphasized since they are crucial ones as they basically influence the outcome from their application. Case studies are used during the lectures in order to illustrate the practical use of these management tools. During the course, students are encouraged to create their own projects either in a small team or individually. These projects will be analysed and evalu-ated.

This course is linked to the previous courses, in particular: Microeconomics, Theory of Man-agement, Marketing and Accounting. It is assumed to participate simultaneously in the courses: Costing and Budgeting, Human Resources Management and Financial Management (eventually, Management Accounting is highly recommended).

Controlling and its role in enterprise control. Sales controlling. Cost and profitability man-agement in new product development process. Controlling of material costs and purchase. Planning and management of the total costs -controlling of production. Inventory control. Investment and measurement. Business processes - object of enterprise control. Information support of strategic management. Performance measurement from viewpoint of managerial needs. Main rules of the managerial work. Value management for shareholders.
