Synopsis:

The subject Financial Management provides a complex explanation of all essential financial management questions. Students have an opportunity to acquire an understanding of the main financial theory and concepts and their utilization in practical decision making and management of the enterprise. Students gain primarily knowledge of financial management role within a business and significance of capital market for financial management of the enterprise. The subject provides father knowledge of financial analysis and planning, various ways of financing business, risk management, valuation techniques and initial public offerings. sources. Subject deals father with analysis of commercial papers, leasing and project financing, system of payments and cash management. A significant emphases is placed on techniques and methods of financial planning and forecasting, methods of investment evaluation and investment risk assessment. Last part of the subject deals with the ways in which the cost of capital may be computed and with models of dividend policy.

Requirements:

The exam requirements are specified by curriculum of the subject. During training courses the active attendance, solution of cases and presentation of assigned themes is required.

Study Objective:

Subject provides students with a complex explanation of all essential financial management questions. Students have an opportunity to acquire an understanding of the main financial theory and concepts and their utilisation in practical decision making and management of the enterprise. Students gain knowledge of financial management role within a business and significance of capital market for financial management of the enterprise. The subject provides father knowledge of financial analysis, working capital management and strategy of working capital financing. Great attention is paid to the various ways of financing business through short-term or long-term financial sources. Subject deals father with analysis of commercial papers, leasing and project financing, system of payments and cash management. A significant emphases is placed on techniques and methods of financial planning and forecasting, methods of investment evaluation and investment risk assessment. Last part of the subject deals with the ways in which the cost of capital may be computed and with models of dividend policy.
