Anotace:

Students are introduced into the world of Manual Software Testing. The course follows the curricula from ISTQB Software Testing Foundation certification. The course aims to bring the students closer to the business experience and so, to prepare them for the market.

They are invited to explore the principles of Software testing and get hands-on experience on how to approach the software testing for web applications.

They will learn about the SDLC Models And Relevance of Testing, different testing levels and testing types. They will understand the difference between White-box Techniques and Black-box Techniques

They will understand how to design their tests, report bugs and the tools they can use to support their testing.

They will briefly learn about the automation testing tools with main focus on Selenium.

They will also briefly explore the Agile Software development model.

This module does not cover: automation of the manual tests, deep exploration about Agile model, techniques, tools, or organizing a project with Scrum.

3.Testing Levels: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Acceptance Testing

4.Testing Types: Functional Testing, Non-functional Testing, Re-testing and Regression Testing, Maintenance Testing

5.Test Design Techniques: Black-box Techniques, White-box Techniques, Experience-based Techniques, What Test Techniques to choose

6.Test Management and Planning: Testing Phases, Testing Roles, Test Planning& Estimation Activities, Test Progress Monitoring, Reporting and Control

7.User Acceptance Testing: Test Plan and Test Cases

8.Raising defects: Defect Lifecycle, what should a defect contain, Defect statuses

9.Regression Testing: Approach and Techniques, Data Requirements.

10.Tool Support for Testing: Management of Testing and Tests, Test Execution and Logging, Incident Management tools

11.Automation Testing tools: Selenium, xPath

12.Agile testing: The Differences between Testing in Traditional and Agile Approaches, Roles and skills of a tester in an Agile team
