Historical overview of civil aviation as a part of transportation system. Developmental trends in plane construction, technical safety and control systems in civil and sports aviation. Chronological development of aviation from planes lighter than air to current planes heavier than air in the context of a complex transportation system of passengers, goods, freight and sport activities in Czech, European and global conditions. The lectures are accompanied by various picture documents and maps, videos, museum and specialised workplaces excursions.
