Synopsis:

The overview of principles of intelligent transport systems especially in highway systems is presented. Necessary equipment in vehicles and in infrastructure are introduced. Students are acquainted with fundamentals of fuzzy logic as a main tool for control on higher levels.

3.Control on executive level (virtual trail, platooning).

4.Control on coordination level, rule based control.

5.Fuzzy logic as a tool for design linguistic rule based controllers.

6.Fuzzy operations and relations.

7.Approximative reasoning and linguistic variable.

8.Fuzzification and defuzzification.

9.Structure of a fuzzy controller.

10.Substitution of a human operator by fuzzy controller.

11.Control on organizational level (planning, decision making, experimentaion).

12.Control on the base of vague symbolic information.

13.Practical application, intelligent vehicle.

14.Intelligent highway.
