Synopsis:

Mathematical methods and algorithms for modelling and evaluating the systems in continuous and discrete time domain. Laplace transform, and z-transform for solution of differential, and difference equations. Practical use of technical computing environment (Simulink, Matlab). Requirements:

Fundamentals of vectors and matrices, complex numbers and functions of complex variables, properties of trigonometric, hyperbolic and exponential functions, derivatives, summations and integrals.

Study Objective:

Use of Laplace transform for solving differential equations representing continuous LTI systems, z-transform for solving difference equations representing discrete LTI systems; state space description of a given dynamic system, stability verification of a dynamic system.
