Wear and tear, lifetime and their calculation, depretiation methods. Inventory and its optimization. Cost analysis and costing, problems of revenue and profit of business activities. Financial sources and financial management, diagnostics of economic activity. Structure of business plan, mathematical tools for assessment of projects and risks of an engineering work, choice of optimal solution.

The goal of the course is the analysis and synthesis of the economic activity both of a production and of a service firm. The attention is devoted above all to the themes, which a future engineer, technologist or a manager will use in the decision process at the positions of middle and higher management.
