The course maps the history and development of the landscape and garden design from prehistory to the present. Contemporary trends in the postindustrial landscape design and protection of the landscape character are also discussed, including many practical problems during its implementation.

Development of English gardens and parks. 9. Landscape parks in England and their influence in the world. 10. American gardens, parks and historic landscape protection. 11. Development of city park systems and parkways. 12. Contemporary gardens, parks and historic landscape protection. 13. Post-industrial landscape design, care and protection. 14. Presentation of papers, grading.
