Synopsis:

The course is open to students who are beginners in their second language. Course objectives: It follows up with the 04J0F1 course. Developing competence in basic French and an ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. Emphasis is placed on communication and pronunciation. Reading and understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills.

Course objectives: Developing competence in basic French and an ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. Emphasis is placed on communication and pronunciation. Reading and understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills. Topics and situations: Telephone conversations, employment, describing objects.

Grammar: The most common regular and irregular verbs, basic word order, pronouns and their position in the sentence, the most common prepositions, basic phrases using infinitives. Perfect tense.
