Synopsis:

The course is suitable for intermediate students who have an equivalent command of the language as someone who has completed book one of a language school text book. Course objective: An ability to understand and converse fluently in everyday situations with emphasis on communication. Understanding straightforward technical texts and writing about a given topic.

Course objective: An ability to understand and converse fluently in everyday situations with emphasis on communication. Understanding straightforward technical texts and writing about a given topic. Topics and situations: Sport and games, Health and illness. Asking and telling the way. Meeting a stranger. At the bank. Calling and leaving a message. Expressing wishes, writing letters. Technical texts and terminology: Reading simple texts, describing devices.

Grammar: Imperfect past tense. Present subjunctive. Relative pronouns.
