Synopsis:

The course is designed for students who have completed their study of English at A2level. Its main objective is to prepare students for the instruction of the selected specialized subjects in English. In addition to educational materials aimed at broadening technical vocabulary and improving current language skills, the course comprises authentic contributions from professional journals. The syllabus also leaves space for students´ presentations covering various fields of science.

Requirements:

The course is designed primarily for students who have completed the A2 English course.

Requirements for „zápočet“

Academic achievement - students are supposed to:

- Take an active part in the language instruction.

- Meet the requirements for writing assignments.

- Deliver a 10-minute presentation on a selected technical topic or sit a test.

Attendance - Students are allowed to be absent three times during the semester.

Requirements will be specified at the opening session.

succeed in the test with the success rate set at 60%.

Attendance - Students are allowed to be absent three times during the semester.
