Synopsis:

This course of Latin is intended for students of curriculum engineering whom should help in basic orientation in vocational Latin terminology, used in medicine. At the end should undergraduate be able to wield basics of Latin grammar, readvocational text and with help of a dictionary operate with Latin medical terminology.

Course objectives: Student should in course master basic knowledge of Latin grammar and abilities of orientation in unpretentious vocational medical text, so as he could work with a text by himself with help of a dictionary and appropriate other instruments.

Vocabulary: words needed for basic Latin knowledge, basics of classic and medieval Latin, further especially vocational terminology from branch of anatomy, physiology, pathology and other related branches, simple vocational texts and work with them.

Grammar: Latin alphabet, basics of pronunciation, accidence, declension of substantives, conjugation of verbs, syntax.
