The course is oriented on the philosophy of science and technology and also on philosophical aspects of economics and politics. We analyze especially the interconnections between philosophy and physics.

1. Introduction, explanation of basic concepts and problems. Role of language in science and philosophy. Common roots of science and philosophy. Relation between technology and art.
2. What is metaphysics, its relation to physics. Branches of metaphysics, crisis of metaphysics, empiricism, positivism.
3. Reductionism and holism.
4. Philosophical aspects of mathematics and cybernetics.
5. Philosophical aspects of biology and science of life.Vitalism. Self-organization, dissipative structures.
6. Philosophical questions concerning quantum physics, non-locality, consciousness.
7. Philosophical impact of the theory of relativity. Time and space in physics and in philosophy.
8. Cosmology, its philosophical an physical aspects.
9. Problems with reductionism. Holism and eastern thinking.
10. Questions concerning psychology of C. G. Jung, synchronicity.
11. Problems with „alternative cognition“, healing, psychotronics
12. The conception of vacuum in philosophy and physics.
13. Some of present-day philosophers and new ways of philosophy, crisis of rationality and objectivity?
