Synopsis:

The subject covers problems of measurement in microwave laboratory, sophisticated measurement methods and instrument applied in frequency band 100 MHz - 100 GHz. Generators, frequency counter, spectrum analyzer. Noise measurement, power measurement. Scalar and vector analyzers. Measurement errors and computer correction methods. Students gain professional skils in the area of RF and microwave measurement including correct evaluation of measurement, using correction methods and error models.

9. Vector network analyzers with frequency conversion

10. Computer controlled measurement system with HP 8410

11. Six-port vector network analyzers

12. Sources of errors in wideband microwave measurement

13. Basic correction methods

14. Correction methods for error model with crosstalks
